A dimensioning engine
Every line has a number.
Everest goes in — one big number comes out. Then we fed it audio instead of elevation, and the mountain range became a song.
Method — how a drawing gets its number
Elevation, or audio.
A mountain. A canal. A voice memo. Terrain data and sound both arrive as one long, wiggling line — the engine cannot tell them apart.
Pin the span.
Extension lines drop from the dimension line to the feature. DIN ticks — not arrows — close each end. The line is now a statement.
The drawing is finished.
8,848.86 m. 193.30 km. 03:47. Everything else on the sheet is commentary. The number is the drawing.
Then we fed it audio instead.
Elevation is a waveform at ~0.01 Hz. Audio is terrain at 44,100 Hz. The engine doesn't care — line in, line out, dimensioned to the same sheet.
